Earlier this year, I was able to photograph an in-home newborn session with the Hammond family in Lost Creek, West Virginia. I was so excited to finally get to meet their newest, most precious addition, Mr. Holden Theodore. It was such a treat getting to photograph their family for the second time.
Carolyn contacted me early in her pregnancy so excited to become first time parents with the love of her life, Mike. They knew that they wanted to capture this special time and scheduled both their maternity and newborn sessions with me. Absolutely nothing makes my photographers heart happier than to get to photograph a family more than once and to be able to witness them grow.
I met them for the first time at their engagement session and could immediately see that they had so much love for each other and their new little one. They told me at the maternity session that they were going to wait until the birth to find out if their sweet little one was a boy or a girl. The anticipation almost killed me waiting to find out the gender, I could never image being able to wait like that for my own little one. But after 9 long months of waiting, they absolutely had the worlds greatest surprise when they were blessed with the sweetest little boy.
They decided to schedule an in-home newborn session to be able to photograph all of the new memories in the nursery they worked so hard to bring to life. When I first saw the nursery, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was the perfect Pinterest inspired space with the most beautiful natural light just spilling in. The space was already magical but when I saw the three of them interacting in it, it was simply picture perfect.
Holden was so sweet and beautiful. He was wide awake for the entire session but I loved getting to capture so many cute images that showed off his bright eyes. Holden sure is one loved little boy.
This is one of my favorite sessions to date. I hope that you enjoy it just as much!
